End of July saw planning permission granted for the next stage of development within Weston Gateway Business Park element of Junction 21 Enterprise Area.
The speculative development of 14 industrial business units forms an integral part of the next phase of growth at the site, adjacent to Worle Railway station, Weston-super-Mare.
The development, called WestONE, will be located close to the Knightstone HQ, junction 21 of the M5 and a stone’s throw from the district centre at Worle to the north.
Aiming to come to market as soon as possible, WestONE is squarely targeting SME and start-up businesses across Weston-super-Mare and North Somerset. WestOne offers a sought after product with options to either purchase or lease an 825 sq ft or 1875 sq ft unit on a freehold or leasehold basis.
Phase one is due to be completed in spring 2018 with phase two due starting soon after. This second phase will look to provide larger units up to 7500 sq ft. All of these have full planning consent.
Delivery and marketing of WestONE is being managed by Phil Wade of Katmar Properties Ltd and funded by Landmore Developments Ltd – a company owned by entrepreneur Ryan Anderson – the man behind the Magic Seaweed Surfing App.
Commenting on the development, Ryan said: “When I first started out in business it was taking a lease of the first small industrial unit that gave the business the opportunity to grow; but trying to find one was virtually impossible due to a lack of supply, so I fully appreciate the difficulties in the marketplace – and WestONE will address this for the businesses of Weston-super-Mare and North Somerset.”
